Published originally 30years ago, this lyrical and utterly transporting book by a working farmer (87 and still out on her quad bike ) tells of a life lived on her own terms in the wildest and most beautiful and solitary places. It is published with new material on 15th March by Constable and I have fingers crossed that it does indeed become a bestseller as Janet's writing is as beautiful, spare and heartfelt as Beatrix Potter's.
