Richard Van Emden sells a million

Foremost historian of WW1 Richard Van Emden, who interviewed all 270 of the surviving 'Tommies' over many years  has just published '1918 - the final year in Soldier's Words and Photographs' with Pen & Sword. It's riding high on the bestseller lists and we have just added up all sales of all his books on the Great War and seen he has passed the magic number of A MILLION COPIES! Congratulations Richard.

He was a most eloquent and moving contributor to the TV coverage of the Cenotaph commemorations of 100 years since the outbreak of WW1 this last weekend.
